"Leaves of Glass" de Philip Ridley

Josh Trask, Ben Tippins

"This fascinating and highly-praised new play by Philip Ridley received its first performance in the Soho Theatre, London in May 2007. White Horse Theatre presents "Leaves of Glass" for the first time in Germany.
Steven is a successful young man - he runs his own business, he has bought a new house, and his wife Debbie is expecting a baby. His 22-year-old brother Barry, by contrast, is an alcoholic with hopeless ambitions to become an artist.
The play presents a series of apparently unrelated scenes - some of them following the current fortunes of the family, others relating incidents from their childhood. And gradually the truth about the two brothers emerges. As the play hurtles towards its menacing and shocking climax, we discover that Steven has always been consumed by jealousy towards his more talented younger brother, who was their father's favourite.
Will the new generation manage to escape from the horrific legacy of the past?"
